What shall I do today? Whether its climbing a mountain or recharging your batteries. You’re very lucky to have the opportunity.
The KRAFTalm is located high above the valley, in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps. It feels so far removed from everyday life and is almost inaccessible.
That's almost true - you can't reach here by car.
But who needs four wheels when you can get here by cable car?
Our KRAFTalm is located in the Tyrolean lowlands and belongs to municipality of a small village called Itter in the Holiday Region Hohe Salve. Wörgl (13km), Kufstein (22km) and Kitzbühel (30km) are our well-known neighbouring towns. From Munich, Salzburg and Innsbruck, we can be reached in a good hour's drive.
From there, our guests can either take the bus or the train station shuttle to the valley station of the Salvista gondola lift.
The three largest airports of Innsbruck, Salzburg and Munich are located just a short distance away from us. The airport shuttle comfortable takes you to the valley station of the Silvretta gondola lift. Here you take off again and in just a few minutes, you will float up to us at the Kraftalm in the new gondola lift.
The Inntal motorway A12 is behind you. From afar, the first mountains beckon, it's as if the Wilder Kaiser and the Kitzbühel Alps wanted to personally greet you. The well-signposted highway leads you in the direction of Itter “Salvista gondola lift”. The 10 person cable car was newly built in 2020 and is visible from afar. In front of it there is a spacious car parks for overnight and for day guests. For the cable car check-in, you can head to the ticket office of the valley station with your travel bags and the like. The generous window front of the gondola cabin makes the scenery and the Alps seem close enough to touch. The soft hum of the cable and the melodic rattle as your pass over the lift supports has a meditative effect. By now you have arrived on holiday.
The short “flight” ends at the mid-station. Here it will say “please get out!” The KRAFTalm is located just above the gondola station.
